Little Kicks Swim School Owner/Instructor

Little Kicks Swim School-Orange County, CA

Cerra GfellI started, Little Kicks Swim School,  in June 2005. Moving from Palm Springs to Orange County was an experience I’ll never regret.  After teaching swim lessons for almost three years in Palm Desert, CA for a nice, independent swim school, I wanted more for myself.  I wanted to own my own swim school, so I moved out of the area to not compete with the other swim school.

Little Kicks is the perfect name for my business as I specialize in water and pool safety for toddlers.  After moving to Orange County, I started teaching at a small, private preschool in Fullerton that had an outdoor pool.  They were kind enough to let me teach swim lessons to their students.  The kids were great and I met a lot of great families there.  However, I really wanted and needed an indoor pool so I could go year-round with my swimming.

In 2006, I got a lead from a gym member who told me there was an indoor pool where they exercised. I was extremely grateful and went there for more information about renting their pool.  The athletic director met me for an interview and gave me the opportunity to expand and grow my business.  I was a private contractor coming in and running my own swim school at the gym facility.

As my swim school started to grow, May of 2009, the gym then asked me to take the place as their Swim Director.  After being a Swim Director for almost 2 years, I decided to go back  on my own and make house calls to clients pools.  I travel to the cities of Yorba Linda, Brea, Placentia, Fullerton, Diamond Bar, and surrounding cities.

I’ve also worked in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert/La Quinta/Rancho Mirage area teaching swimming lessons for my sister, Owner/Instructor Dylan Vrilakas (Rosman) with Desert Swimmerz.

Thank you to  all my swim parents and students who have followed me around the city and to those who will continue with me on my journey.

Dylan Vrilakas (Rosman) is an amazing teacher.  She trained me on how to teach swim lessons to toddlers.  She has mastered the art of teaching swim lessons and desert parents LOVE her! She is also the owner of Palm Desert Volleyball Club and has an indoor, heated pool at her facility. She teaches swim lessons year-round!  www.desertswimmerz.com

    • I’m currently not discounting swim lessons, but sometimes I do have $20.00 swim lessons Fridays. Lessons are $30.00 per half hour per student.

Thank you! Let me know if you’d like to sign up. I have a heated pool.

  3. Hi,

I live in Cerritos, and want my 7yr old son of learn swimming. I have my own community pool. Is it possible for you to come and teach here in our pool. I want private swim lessons for him.

    Thanks,

    • To travel out to Cerritos I would charge $50.00 for a half hour lesson. Community pools are busy and not very private. You could travel to my pool in Anaheim Hills and it would be $30.00 for a half hour if you start in May but if you start in June it’s $35.00 per half hour lesson. Please let me know. Thank you!
